You Should Change This One Assassin’s Creed Mirage Setting Immediately

adminBy adminOctober 4, 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is probably the biggest game that’s coming out this week. I’ve been playing it and have had a good time with it so far, but haven’t had a chance to finish it yet. In the meantime, I want to offer one piece of advice for everyone who’ll be taking a leap of faith into this compelling web of mystery and murder.

One of the key gameplay mechanics is pickpocketing. You’ll use this to acquire currency, tokens you can trade for favors, valuable objects you can sell and items you’ll need to progress.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft thought it would be fun to laden down the pickpocketing mechanic with a quick-time event minigame. You’ll need to press a button at the right time to successfully steal from your target.

That might be fun once or twice, but if you’re pickpocketing as often as I am, you’ll need to play that minigame a lot. It gets tedious very quickly, but thankfully you don’t have to put up with this QTE nonsense.

To avoid this minigame, you can change a setting to ensure that every pickpocketing attempt you make is successful. In the gameplay section of the settings, turn on Guaranteed Pickpocketing.

The game says that enabling this will prevent you from playing the game as intended. Ignore that. The QTE is a super annoying mechanic and getting rid of it gives you more time to do fun stuff, like parkouring over rooftops, and planning and executing assaults on enemy camps.

Trust me on this one.
