Samsung has now released the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Ring.
The company has also confirmed what new pre-order deals the devices will launch with. As expected, trade-in prices have been boosted—going as high as $1200 for your old phone. Although, to get that valuation you will likely need to handover a relatively new handset. Both devices are also more expensive than their predecessors.
The maximum trade-in value before this deal was $750 for a Galaxy S23 Ultra. Now, shoppers can get up to $1000 off when buying the Galaxy Z Flip 6 (which retails for $1,099.99), or $1200 off when buying the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (which retails for $1,899.99). This only applies to people who pre-order either phone before July 23rd.
Samsung has also revived its double storage offer from recent months. Pre-order buyers can pick up the 512GB model for the price of the 256GB version, or the 1TB option for the price of the 512GB model.
Elsewhere, the company is giving away 12 months of Samsung Care+ when either device is bought directly from Samsung’s website. Of course, the reservation gift mentioned below will also knock $50 off the final price.
In the last few weeks, Samsung released a pre-pre-order deal, which offered Galaxy fans the chance to reserve a yet-to-be-released device. Doing so would net people a “reservation gift” of $50 that will be discounted from the final device price when it’s time to pay.
On the promotional website, Samsung mentioned that buyers can also save $1500 when one of the new gadgets is pre-ordered after they’re announced. We now know that the $1500 figure is a combination of enhanced trade-in prices, free Samsung Care+, a free case and the reservation gift.
Samsung has been running an enhanced trade-in deal for the last two weeks, which values some old phones at surprisingly high prices. The most you could get was $750 a Galaxy S23 Ultra, which isn’t worth it considering the phone has years of software support left, alongside new AI abilities. But the Galaxy S21 Ultra is valued at $550, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra nets a $600 valuation. The Fold 3 is worth $300, while your Note 20 Ultra will put $450 in your pocket.
The enhanced maximum value trade-in price is an expected, but still aggressive, move by Samsung. Up to $1200 when buying a phone is a huge chunk of change. But what will be interesting to see is which phones receive the highest valuation. Stay tuned for details by hitting the follow button below.
