Today’s ‘Connections’ Answers And Hints For Monday, September 25

adminBy adminSeptember 25, 2023No Comments4 Mins Read

Looking for the hints and the answers for Sunday’s game of Connections? You can find them here:

Hey, folks! Welcome to the start of a new week. I hope you had a fantastic weekend. I just had the best one I’ve had in a long time, and this upcoming weekend should be good too. Anyway, today’s Connections hints and answers are coming right up.

How To Play Connections

In Connections, you’re presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to arrange them into four groups of four by figuring out the links between them. The groups could be things like horror movie franchises, a type of verb or rappers.

There’s only one solution for each puzzle, and you’ll need to be careful when it comes to words that might fit into more than one category. You can shuffle the words to perhaps help you see links between them.

Each group is color coded. The yellow group is the easiest to figure out, blue and green fall in the middle, and the purple group is typically the hardest one to deduce.

Select four words you think go together and press Submit. If you make a guess and you’re incorrect, you’ll lose a life. If you’re close to having a correct group, you might see a message telling you that you’re one word away from getting it right, but you’ll still need to figure out which one to swap.

If you make four mistakes, it’s game over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with the help of some hints, and, if you’re really struggling, today’s Connections answers.

Connections Hints For September 25

Scroll slowly! Just after the hints for each of today’s Connections groups, I’ll reveal what the groups are without immediately telling you which words go into them.

Today’s 16 words are:

  • TRAIN
  • COAT
  • GRAM
  • MA
  • BLACK
  • BOOK
  • CAKE
  • RING
  • FROST
  • BOUQUET
  • TUBE
  • CRUST
  • VEIL
  • COVER
  • IN
  • SPARROW

And the clues for today’s groups are:

  1. Yellow group — old, new, borrowed, blue
  2. Green group — engulf, but with the same beginning
  3. Blue group — no Bauer, White or Palance here
  4. Purple group — the back half of services billions of us use every day

Need some extra help?

Be warned: we’re starting to get into spoiler territory.

Today’s groups are…

  • Yellow group — bridal accessories
  • Green group — “c” words for “envelop”
  • Blue group — Jacks
  • Purple group — social media app endings

Connections Answers For September 25

Spoiler alert! Don’t scroll any further down the page until you’re ready to find out today’s Connections answers.

This is your final warning!

Today’s connections are…

  • Yellow group — bridal accessories (BOUQUET, RING, TRAIN, VEIL)
  • Green group — “c” words for “envelop” (CAKE, COAT, COVER, CRUST)
  • Blue group — Jacks (BLACK, FROST, MA, SPARROW)
  • Purple group — social media app endings (BOOK, GRAM, IN, TUBE)

My two-day winning streak has come to an end at the hands of a particularly annoying game (only the second round of Connections I haven’t really enjoyed).

I had the right idea with the yellow group, but I included CAKE on my first two guesses. The green words did me in today. That one was on me as I don’t think of CRUST as a verb in that sense. FROST would be a better fit, even if it doesn’t fit the “c” gimmick (the specificity of which pushes the difficulty of this group into blue territory, in my opinion).

After I saw the answers, the blue group left me a little frustrated. I kid you not, as a teenager, I wrote a song called “Jack of All Trades” that included nods toward various fictional Jacks, including Captain Sparrow. I’m not entirely sure how familiar Jack Ma will be to a Western audience — the name of the Alibaba co-founder may ring a bell for regular Forbes readers, of course.

The purple group bothered me too, and not only because I write about Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube on a near-daily basis. I found this group to be a bit esoteric once I saw the answers. So, if you won today’s game, well done, you.

That’s all there is to it for today’s Connections clues and answers. Be sure to check my blog for hints and the solution for Tuesday’s game if you need them.
