Today’s ‘Wordle’ Hints And Clues For Saturday, March 2nd — Wordle #987 Answer

adminBy adminMarch 2, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

Saturday is here at last. Here in the mountains, we celebrated First Friday last night, though I did not partake. My days of going out to bars and making merry and spending ludicrous amounts of money on overpriced drinks and food are pretty much behind me. The days of solitude, meditation and hermitude have found me. Well, that and all my hobbies and pursuits I find more fulfilling than nights out on the town (though occasionally a dinner out is nice).

Speaking of which, my weekend streaming guide is up and there are some pretty interesting looking shows out this weekend to check out. I also reviewed the new Dune Part 2 film, which I enjoyed but have mixed feelings about.

For now, let’s Wordle shall we?

How To Solve Today’s Wordle

The Hint: Of the city, not the country.

The Clue: This Wordle begins with a vowel.

Wordle Analysis

Every day I check Wordle Bot to see how I did. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.

Not terrible, though I really ought to have been able to snag this in three given I only had 113 words remaining after chair, which also gave me two yellow boxes. I think it was perhaps foolish to guess all new letters with slope rather than try to rearrange what I already had.

Angry slashed the 16 slope left me with down to just 2 though I could only think of the one: urban for the win!

Competitive Wordle Score

Alas, Wordle Bot guessed today’s Wordle in three. That’s -1 point for me and 0 points for guessing in four. -1 total. Lame!

Today’s Wordle Etymology

The word ‘urban’ comes from the Latin word ‘urbanus’, which means ‘pertaining to a city or city life’. Derived from ‘urbs’, meaning ‘city’, the term ‘urbanus’ was used to describe something that was characteristic of, or belonged to, the city. Over time, ‘urbanus’ evolved into ‘urban’ in English, retaining its association with cities and city life. This evolution reflects the word’s roots in describing the qualities, lifestyles, and environments associated with cities, distinguishing them from rural or countryside areas.
